ABOUT

Hi, I’m Rachel.

Rachel Smietanski M.S., CCC-SLP

I’m a wife, a mom, and a passionate speech-language pathologist. I earned my Bachelor’s degree in Communication Sciences and Disorders in 2017 and my Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology in 2019 from Saint Xavier University. I’ve had the privilege of working across a variety of settings, including public schools, inpatient acute care, and private practice—but my heart has always been with children.

While working in the school setting, I saw firsthand how limitations in time, resources, and collaboration often made it difficult for students to receive the level of individualized support they truly needed. For many children, school-based therapy alone simply was not enough, and I often wished they had access to more intensive intervention.

Becoming a mom gave me an even deeper understanding of the parent-child bond and the vital role families play in a child’s success. Parental involvement is essential, and meaningful progress happens best through collaboration.

I started Arise Speech Therapy because I believe that personalized, collaborative, and family-centered care makes the greatest difference—not just in communication outcomes, but in confidence, connection, and quality of life.

Let’s support your child together.
